Tammuz-an Species
The Tammuz-an were major players in the Droids series, appearing in five episodes (episodes 5-9), and were even important enough to be made into a few toys sold in the 80's: Kenner's Kez-Iban and canceled Mon Julpa, and Comics Spain's Kez-Iban figure. But since their heyday, the Tammuz-an species has practically disappeared from the Star Wars universe.
Tammuz-an are tall, strong, and can be either purple or blue skinned. Their world appears to be technologically advanced, with hyperspace capable vehicles as well as a prototype of the A-Wing fighter. The purple skinned Tammuz-an are ruled be a king, but it appears that the blue skinned race are not under his rule. Nothing is known of events on Tammuz-an during the Clone Wars, and there are no signs of an Imperial presence on the planet in Droids, but it seems unlikely that this world would have been completely ignored by the Empire, so there would have probably been at least a small Imperial garrison somewhere.
Do the Tammuz-an deserve to be brought back into the Star Wars universe? Personally, I hope they will be.
