Dulok Shaman

Released: 1985
Source: Ewoks Animated Television Series
Accessories: Staff, necklace (non-removable), coin
Articulation: Neck, shoulders, hips, tail.
Notes: The final three loose figure photos are from the collection of Alex Newborn and the carded figure comes from the collection of 'Weechee'
The Run Down: The Dulok Shaman was my first ever Ewoks figure, purchased in 1986. His appearance is a mixture of creepy and comical, but is a pretty good representation of the character from Ewoks. I have always considered the Shaman to be the best of the Dulok figures. He has an interesting hunched over stance and does not have turned in feet like Urgah or the Dulok Scout, nor does he have difficulty standing like Urgah. The necklace that is a separate piece is really a nice feature, and the staff is probably the second creepiest accessory in the vintage Star Wars line after the staff of Amanaman. The Shaman is a very vibrant green, much brighter than the other three Duloks. In the TV series all of the Duloks were the same shade of green, so it's a mystery as to why Kenner decided to make all of their Duloks a different color. Like all of the other Ewoks and Droids figures, Dulok Shaman comes on a card featuring some of the most beautiful Ewoks and Droids art to be found anywhere, and includes a coin that is far superior to the coins that were included with Hasbro's Star Wars 30th anniversary figures.
