Droids TV Series Characters

In the guide to Droids TV characters you can learn about the many characters, droids, aliens, locations and more that appeared in the Droids TV series. Information contained in the biographies is based solely on the TV series and does not take into account any of the stories or names that were created for the old Star Wars Expanded Universe, now known as Star Wars Legends.
Some names that were not given in the TV series are drawn from information given on animation cels or other production art. The provide a sharp true color portrait of the characters as they were originally portrayed.
Images seen in the biographies come from screen stills, animation cels, or have been completely redrawn (traced) and recolored to look as close to the original art as possible in order to provide a sharp true color portrait of the characters as they were originally portrayed.

Minor characters

Tig Fromm

Tig is the son of crime lord Sise Fromm. Tig's views on how to run the Fromm gang differ from those of his father. The younger Fromm favors the use of droids to carry out the gang's dirty work. Unfortunately for Tig, his plans often fail, making him the object of his father's wrath.

Appearances: Episodes 1-4



Vlix

One of the top men in the Fromm gang, who has been placed by Sise Fromm with his son Tig in order to keep the younger Fromm out of trouble. Vlix does not share Tig's view on the usefulness of droids, nor does he see the usefulness of Tig, whom he often makes the oblect of ridicule.

Tower Droid

Tower Droids were used by Tig Fromm to guard the secret development of the Trigon One on the planet Ingo. They were capable of firing deadly repulsor balls.

Assassin Droid

An Assassin Droid was sent by the Fromm Gang to release poison gas into the sleeping quarters of Thall Joben. He was destroyed by Kea Moll.
This droid was also seen aboard a skiff along with BL-17 and Boba Fett in the opening credits.

Demma Moll

Demma is the mother of Kea Moll and the leader of the Rebel Alliance resistance movement on Annoo.



Fromm Compound Droid

This droid was seen working in the prison level of the Fromm Gang's headquarters. Many others of this model worked in the hangar bay of the Trigon One.

Gar

Gar is a burly man who works for Demma Moll and is part of the Rebel Alliance resistance movement on Annoo.



Boba Fett

A renowned bounty hunter hired by Sise Fromm to eliminate the speeder racers Thall Joben and Jord Dusat. Following the destruction of his droid and his speeder, he turns on the Fromm's and captures them for delivery to Jabba the Hutt.

Admiral Screed

Following an appearance as a spectator at the Boonta Speeder Race, this Imperial Admiral becomes a major adversary of Mungo Baobab and Auren Yomm.



Doodnik

Doodnik is a cantankerous four-armed alien that operates Doodnik's Cafe on Tyne's Horky. While he is the namesake and cook of the cafe, the establishment is actually owned by Kleb-Zellock. He was briefly the master of R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Jann Tosh

Picture
Jann purchaces R2-D2, C-3PO and Kez-Iban (disguised as an android) at an auction in Tyne's Horky. Later he helps Kez-Iban regain his kingdom as Mon Julpa, king of Tammuz-an.

Yorpo Mog

Yorpo Mog is an alien thug of unknown species employed by Kleb-Zellock. As well as being an enforcer, Yorpo also works in the mines searching for Nergon-14. He is ultimatly betrayed by Kleb-Zellock.

Mon Julpa (Kez-Iban)

The crown prince of Tammuz-an who was stripped of his memory by Zatec-Cha and exiled on Tyne's Horky. He is bought in the guise of an android by Jann Tosh and given the name Kez-Iban. After regaining his memory, he defeats Zatec-Cha and becomes king of Tammuz-an.

Rebo Band

The Rebo Band played at Doodnik's Cafe on Tyne's Horky. The band continued playing during a brawl at the cafe.


Sy Snootles

Sy Snootles was present at Doodnik's Cafe with her bandmates.


Zatec-Cha

Picture
Zatec-Cha is the royal vizier of Tammuz-an who banished Mon Julpa to Tyne's Horky after having him stripped of his memory. With Julpa out of the way, Zatec-Cha sought to become king.


Kybo Ren

Picture
Captain Kybo Ren is a space pirate who is trying to plunder Tammuz-an. His fleet includes a stolen Imperial Star Destroyer, TIE Fighters and a desert skiff.


Jyn Obah

Picture
Jyn Obah is first mate to pirate captain Kybo Ren. He is clad in various pieces of poorly fitting Stormtrooper armor.


Pirates of Tarnoonga

Picture
The home port of Kybo Ren's crew is the planet Tarnoonga. The pirate crew consists of alien species from many different worlds.


Coby

Picture
Coby is the son of Lord Toda. He is about to be sent to the Imperial Academy by his father, in hope that the boy will learn discipline, but instead ends up crossing the galaxy with R2 and 3PO in search of his stolen pet Ingey.


Zelakesh Spacer

Picture
According to C-3PO, "everything dangerous and criminal likes to call Zelakesh home." This alien encountered by Coby at the Zelakesh space port is no exception. Seen with blaster at the ready while riding a large beast of burden, he soon comes into a confrontation with Coby and attempts to shoot the boy on more than one occasion.


Biitu Inhabitants

The inhabitants of Biitu are a peaceful agricultural people. Their world becomes desolate and barren due to the effects of the Galactic Empire's Moisture Eater.

R5 Units

Several R5 droids were captured by the Empire to be fed to the Great Heep.

Unidentified Harem Droids

This pair of droids of unknown make were seen lounging in chairs watching view screens while being held in the Great Heep's droid harem.

Droid Bartender

This droid was seen tending bar and catering to the needs of the astromech droids that were part of the droid harem.

Astromech Droid (Unknown Model)

This droid was seen listening to C-3PO after the protocol droids capture. He was brought to the Great Heep's droid harem and was soon after drained of life by his captor.

Waiter Droid

A personal servant droid that bring astromech droids from the droid harem for the Great Heep to consume.

The Great Heep

The Great Heep is a huge processing droid that is in league with Admiral Screed. He feeds off of captured astromech droids and helps the Empire bring great devastation to the agricultural planet of Biitu.

Kroc

Picture
Kroc is a two headed alien who sells his old acquaintance Mungo Baobab a map to the Roon system during an arranged secret meeting on Manda.

Jord Dusat

A master of the droids, as well as the best friend of Thall Joben. Jord is the the primary racer of the White Witch, but is unable to race in the Boonta Race due to an injury.

Kea Moll

A brave young woman who is part of a Rebel resistance cell on the planet Anoo, she aids Thall Joben and Jord Dusat in battling the Fromm gang.

Fromm's Jailer

A jailer charged with guarding the droids and their masters after their capture by the Fromm Gang. After being lured into a trap by C-3PO, he is incapacitated by R2-D2.



Zebulon Dak's Pilot

Picture
This alien of unknown species was seen piloting the small hover vehicule used by Zebulon Dak at the Boonta Speeder Race.

Tyne's Horky Miner

Picture
A resident of Tyne's Horky, presumably a miner, who confronted Kleb-Zellock over his unfair business practices. An angry Kleb had the miner removed from Doodnik's Cafe by Yorpo Mog.



Sollag

Picture
Solag is an alien from Tammuz-an. He finds the lost prince Mon Julpa on Tyne's Horky and helps to establish his reign on Tammuz-an.


Droid Market Auctioneer

Picture
The auctioneer at a droid market on Tyne's Horky. He placed little value on C-3PO's usefulness, but ended up selling both C-3PO and R2-D2 to Yorpo Mog.

Doodnik's Cafe Brute

Picture
An unnamed alien at Doodnik's Cafe who picked a fight with Jann Tosh but was immobilized when he was shocked by Jessica Meade's miniature stunner.

Jessica Meade

Picture
A freighter pilot who becomes a friend of Jann Tosh. She transports Mon Julpa, Sollag, Jann and the droids to Tammuz-an and later serves as an adviser to King Julpa.
She was given the nickname 'Old Iron Pants' by Jann because of the bulky metal space suit that she wore while piloting her ship.


IG-88

Picture
The bounty hunter IG-88 was hired by Zatec-Cha to capture Mon Julpa and the royal scepter of Tammuz-an.

Lord Toda

Picture
Lord Toda is the leader of the blue skinned race of Tammuz-an, who are at odds with the purple skinned race led by King Julpa. Mon Julpa proposes a peace treaty between their two races.



Mungo Baobab

Mungo Baobab is the droids master in the third story line of the series, as well as in The Great Heep. He is an integral part of the Baobab Merchant Fleet, a trade organization famed galaxy-wide.

Droid Prisoner

This droid of an unknown make was a prisoner that was captured along with C-3PO and R2-D2 when their Baobab Merchant Fleet ship came under attack by the Empire.

Spherical Astromech Droid (2 legs)

Another unusual astromech droid that was part of the droid harem.
Appearances: The Great Heep



Dissection Droid

A droid that works for the Great Heep disassembling droids that have fallen out of favor.

Imperial Stormtroopers

Picture
The foot soldiers of the Galactic Empire who enforce the Empire's dominance throughout the galaxy. The droids had several encounters with Stormtroopers while they were in the service of Mungo Baobab.

Imperial Probe Droid

Picture
This probe droid equipped with a holographic projector relayed an important message from Governor Koong to Admiral Screed concerning an alliance between Koong and the Empire. The droid also carried a Roon stone as an example of the wealth of the planet Roon.

Governor Koong

Picture
Koong is the dictator of the planet Roon, who in reality is no more than a pirate plundering the planet's wealth. A cruel and selfish leader, he is determined to win the approval of Admiral Screed and the Empire. Although the Governor appears to be human, he only has four fingers on each hand.

Koong's Guard Droids

Governor Koong used these several of these droids as his personal security guards.

Agricultural Freighter Space Suits

Picture
While Mungo, Auren and the droids were exploring an abandoned agricultural vessel in the Bantha graveyard on Roon, one of these space suits fell on top of C-3PO. The droid panicked, fearing the space suit was actually a ghost.

Oggem Baobab

Picture
Oggem is the great-uncle of Mungo Baobab. He came to Roon 60 years before Mungo searching for Roon stones, but only having marginal success. Over the years he lived in his crash landed agricultural freighter, marooned on the planet. He died shortly after being found by Mungo, but left his grand-nephew a small cache of Roon stones.


Rockhopper

Picture
Rockhoppers are popular racing animals on the planet Roon, but could also be found on other worlds such as Biitu. Auren Yomm could often be seen riding her champion racing rockhopper.




Roon Soldiers

Picture
These soldiers are loyal to Governor Koong. Gaff usually functions as their commanding officer.


Roon Clipper Slaves

Picture
The rowers of the Roon Clipper are made up of a wide variety of aliens and droids, forced into slave labor by Governor Koong and his soldiers. Several of them appear to be former Pirates of Tarnoonga, and one of them is identical to the droid auctioneer from Tyne's Horky.



Baobab Archives Mummy

Picture
The mummy of an alien species, initially mistaken by C-3PO to be the Baobab Archivist Droid. C-3PO was given a fright when he soon realized his mistake.

Baobab Archivist Droid

Picture
As this archivist droid was going about it's work in the Baobab Archives on Manda, it was unintentionally knocked over by C-3PO while carrying a stack of material from the Archives.
This droid does not appear to speak in Basic.

Gaff

Picture
Gaff is the Kobok accomplice of Governor Koong. With the spikes that extend from his forearms he is able to deliver poisonous blows to his enemies, rendering them unconscious.

Noop Yeldarb

Picture
Noop was the keeper of the Umboo lightstation before it's takeover by Governor Koong. He was held prisoner aboard Koong's vessel but was later set free by Mungo Baobab and his droids.

Auren Yomm

Picture
Auren lives on the planet Roon and rescues Mungo Baobab and the droids after a crash landing. Auren and Mungo become attracted to each other over the course of their adventures. She is also a champion rock-hopper racer.


Nilz Yomm

Picture
Oggem is the great-uncle of Mungo baobab. He came to Roon 60 years before Mungo searching for Roon stones, but only having marginal success. Bola Yomm

Bola is the mother of Auren Yomm. She was infected by the rooze virus when it was released into the air over her village, but was cured by her husband before the disease could become fatal.


Mungo's Potential Investment Partners

Picture
Mungo Baobab and C-3PO met with these two aliens at a cafe in a port city on Roon. Mungo was looking for investors in his Roon stone hunt, but unfortunately the deal was never closed due to Gaff's sudden appearance in the cafe.


LIN-D

Picture
LIN-D is a comedian droid sentenced to row on the Roon Clipper. It is unknown how he fell into this predicament, but nevertheless, LIN-D survives the ordeal in good humor. C-3PO finds his presence unbearable.

Gaff's Pet

Picture
This creature was seen sleeping at Gaff's feet in the Fortress of Twantoom. After being awakened by a shrunken R2-D2, the creature tried to capture the droid but failed.


Mogo

Picture
Mogo's are large creatures living on Roon that have five humps on their backs and are capable of carrying four passengers.


Alien Merchants

Picture
These merchants of an unknown alien race came to the planet Roon to trade at the Fortress of Twantoom, Governor Koong's headquarters. Mungo Baobab and C-3PO stole the merchants robes to disguise themselves as they infiltrated the fortress.



Sise Fromm

Sise Fromm is the 900 year old leader of one of the galaxy's most powerful criminal organizations. His empire begins to crumble due to the incompetence of his son and the heroic efforts of a pair of young speeder racers and their droids. He is ultimately captured by Boba Fett and turned over to his rival Jabba the Hutt.

Fromm Gangsters

Thugs from the planet Annoo who are in the employ of Sise Fromm. Annoo gangsters were the main forces of the Fromm gang, but would be replaced by droids if Tig Fromm were to have his way.

Muscle Droid

Muscle Droids are large, heavily armored droids used by Tig Fromm. While intimidating in appearance, these droids have one serious design flaw. Once they are knocked over onto their backs, they are not able to right themselves.

2-1B Medical Droid

2-1B medical droids were seen giving medical assistance to humans such as Jord Dusat and Uncle Gundy.



Proto-One

Proto-One is a century old droid who has rebuilt himself over the years with scrap. Living in a scrap yard on the planet Boonta, he repairs the Sand Sloth and helps R2-D2 and C-3PO defeat BL-17.
Appearances: Episode 4



BL-17

BL-17 is an espionage droid owned by Boba Fett. Fett sends BL-17 to win the trust of C-3PO and lure Thall Joben and his friends into a trap. After being exposed by Proto-One, he is destroyed during a battle with R2-D2, C-3PO and Proto-One.
Appearances: Episode 4



Zebulon Dak

Zebulon is the famous owner of the Zebulon Dak Speeder Corporation. Following the victory of Thall Joben in the Boonta Race, he offers jobs to Thall, Jord and Kea on one condition: their droids would need to be reprogrammed.

Kleb-Zellock

Kleb-Zellock is a villainous mine operator who controls much of Tyne's Horky. He is capable of making a terrible shriek that causes considerable pain to his enemies.

Mining Droid

Mining droids are of great value to the miners of Tyne's Horky. Jann Tosh traded one mining droid for R2-D2, C-3PO and a disguised Mon Julpa.

Uncle Gundy

The hot-tempered Uncle to Jann Tosh and master of C-3PO and R2-D2. The droids help him discover a fortune mining keshels.

Lord Toda's Troops

Picture
Blue skinned natives of Tammuz-an who's allegiance is to Lord Toda. They later become allies of Mon Julpa after the two leaders establish peace.


Gerin

Picture
Gerin is the daughter of Lord Toda. She and Mon Julpa are attracted to each other despite the feelings of her father.

Tammuz-an Droid Merchant

Picture
As he was about to leave for the Imperial Academy, Coby was tempted to spend his inheritance money on two droids that were being sold by this merchant.


Zelakesh Space Craft Dealer

Picture
This merchant had several varieties of space craft available at the Zelakesh space port, including a Blackhawk Destroyer.



Spherical Astromech Droid

This unusual astromech droid has a rounded body and only one center leg. It was a prisoner of the Great Heep that befriended and helped R2-D2.

Astromech Droid Prisoners

Here are two more astromech droids that were part of the droid harem. Their exact designation is unknown.

KT-10

KT-10 is an astromech droid with a female personality. While part of the droid harem, she developed a relationship with R2-D2. After being drained of life by the Great Heep, she was later revived following the deactivation of the Heep due to the combined efforts of the liberated astromech droids.

Imperial Officers

Imperial Officers from the crew of Admiral Screed, seen here with a probe droid, wore gray uniforms and a hat similar to the one worn by the Admiral himself.

BUN-Dingo

Picture
BUN-Dingo is a droid that works for Governor Koong and Gaff. Before serving as his master's entry in the Roon Colonial Games Rockhopper race, he made sure that two of Auren Yomm's teammates would not be able to compete. In spite of his attempts at sabatogue, BUN-Dingo was himself destroyed before the conclusion of the race.

Roon Clipper Captain

Picture
The captain of the Roon Clipper, who looks identical to, and may have once been one of the Pirates of Tarnoonga, carries a light-whip that he uses to threaten the ships slaves.

Roon Clipper Guard Droid

Picture
While this guard droid was on patrol, he was secretly deactivated by R2-D2, who had just boarded the ship.
