Tig Fromm is the son of crime lord Sise Fromm and a prominent member of the Fromm Gang. Tig's views on how to run the Fromm gang differ from those of his father. The younger Fromm favors the use of droids to carry out the gang's dirty work, while Sise prefers to use gangsters. Unfortunately for Tig, his plans often fail, making him the object of his father's wrath.

Tig Fromm was in charge of the Fromm Gang's operations on the planet Ingo, aided (or supervised) by one of Sise Fromm's most senior henchmen, Vlix. From his Ingo base, Tig plotted the overthrow of rival criminal gangs through the use of droid minions, and through fear of a super weapon called the Trigon One. The gang's secret base, buried under the Ingo salt flats, was discovered by accident when speeder racers Thall Joben and Jord Dusat unknowingly trespassed into the gang's territory. Seekers and tower droids were dispatched to destroy the speeders and their pilots, but Joben, Dusat and their droids survived. This event soon became the undoing of not only the Ingo operation, but was also the beginning of the end for the Fromm Gang.
