Urgah Lady Gorneesh

Released: 1985
Source: Ewoks Animated Television Series
Accessories: coin
Articulation: neck, shoulders, hips, tail
The Run Down: As of April 2011 Urgah is the latest, and one of the final additions to my vintage figure collection. One of my first impressions of the figure is that she seems a lot closer to the modern figures in sculpt and style than most of the other figures from the 80's. When you compare Urgah to some of the figures from the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, it's easy to notice that there was quite a progression in style in just a few years. I had always thought that Urgah's shawl would be rubber like the hoods of the ROTJ Ewoks, but is actually hard plastic. The shawl is not removable. Unfortunately there is no accessory beyond the coin, which seems odd since most Ewoks and Droids figures were given some sort of accessory whether it was something they used in an episode or not. Getting Urgah to stand can be a challenge and always ends up looking rather strange, as both of her feet are turned in. With one of her feet she is standing on her toes, which adds to the difficulty of getting her to stand. Aside from this small problem, Urgah, like the rest of the 70's and 80's line, is a fantastic figure and should be a must for your vintage figure collection.
